9.1. Wilderness Area Campsite
A Campsite is considered occupied if any Tent, RV, or Motor Vehicle is present on the Campsite.
9.1.1. Unattended
Occupied wilderness campsites may not be left unattended overnight without prior approval of management. ECR will not be liable for damage to or loss of unattended property. See Appendix A for penalty.
9.2. Parking Pass
Any vehicle parked in the Wilderness Area must be in a Designated Wilderness Campsite, and must display a valid Parking Pass for that date and Wilderness Campsite. Non-complying vehicles may be towed at owner's expense or impounded with a tire locking device.
9.3. Occupancy Limit
Up to two motor vehicles and one RV may occupy a Wilderness Campsite and must display a valid Parking Pass for that date and Wilderness Campsite. A Wilderness Campsite is limited to eight (8) persons, except that up to twelve (12) may occupy a Wilderness Campsite overnight if the twelve (12) people are immediate family, Member, Member's spouse and Member's children (No other guests). See Appendix A for penalty.
9.3.1. Exceptions
Up to two (2) RV and two (2) vehicles may occupy Bernice Canyon spaces 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 and
Druby Canyon 5, 14, and 18. Up to three RV's and three vehicles may occupy Bernice Canyon 1 and 2 subject to the other provisions of Rule 9.3.
9.3.2. Personal Items
No personal items may be left in a Wilderness Area Campsite without first obtaining a permit to occupy the Campsite.
9.4. Tents
Each Membership may have up to three (3) tents (fee applicable) in the Wilderness Area. Any Tent must be in a designated Wilderness Campsite and must display a valid Tent Permit for that date and Wilderness Campsite. Non-complying tents may be removed at owner's expense. See Appendix B for fee.
9.5. Special Events
Social and Special Events are to be booked in the Designated Special Events areas. Special events shall not be held in Wilderness Campsites.
9.6. Wilderness Area Use
9.6.1. Same Day Reservation
A Member in Good Standing may use a Wilderness Area Campsite for up to fourteen (14) consecutive days. Check-in at the Resort office is required. Only Walk-up check-in is permitted in the Wilderness Area and is first-come-first served. No specific Campsite can be reserved.
9.6.2. Unoccupied
If the assigned Campsite is vacated at any time during the use period the remainder of the use period is immediately forfeited.
9.6.3. Occupancy Length
After fourteen (14)
consecutive days or two (2) consecutive Weekend occupancies of the Wilderness Area, a Member must vacate all ECR property until at least seven (7) days have elapsed. An RV site in the Developed area cannot be occupied until the same seven (7) days have elapsed.
9.7. Developed Area Tent Camping
9.7.1. Designated Area
Tents are permitted only in Designated Areas.
9.7.2. Permit
Tents must display a permit valid for that date and area.
9.7.3. Member Tent Site Allocation/Occupancy
A Full Member or Relative Rights may have one (1) tent at no charge if occupied by the Full Member or Relative Rights. If the Member has a tent and RV spot on the same night, the tent fee must be paid. See Appendix B for fee.
9.7.4. Guest Tent Site Allocation/Occupancy
After paying a tent fee for each tent, a Membership Unit is allowed up to three (3) tent sites in the immediate Resort area on first come- first served basis. Each tent must be occupied overnight. Any more than three (3) tents require a family reunion area reservation. See Appendix B for fee.
